How do I return an item?

Software. Wavefunction software is licensed via software license key or activation code. Once the license has been activated it cannot be returned as it is permanently licensed on the machine upon which it is activated. A refund may be requested for software that has not been activated within 15-days of software purchase. Approval is at Wavefunction’s sole discretion.

Student Purchased Software. All Student purchase software is licensed via activation code. Once the software has been activated, it cannot be returned. In the event that a student drops the class in which the software was required, a refund may be granted at Wavefunction’s sole discretion, provided the instructor provides a written confirmation that the student has dropped the course. Student licenses may not be transferred.

Databases. Wavefunction databases are licensed via software license key or activation code. Once activated they may not be returned. A refund may be requested for a database that has not been activated within 15-days of database purchase. Approval is at Wavefunction’s sole discretion.

Maintenance. A Wavefunction maintenance contract provides for priority technical and scientific support via email as well as all minor and major version updates for a 3-year period. Once purchased, maintenance may not be returned of refunded.

Books. Wavefunction does not provide a refund on books, however individual customers and bookstores may return unused books (in good condition) and receive a credit toward future purchase of books (or of Wavefunction software).
